The Gulf Coast IPDA Debate Summer Institute
Each year in late July, Lee College and Bossier Parish Community College join forces to hold a free Summer Debate Institute exploring the IPDA style of intercollegiate debate. 2014's camp set the stage for Lee College's second consecutive IPDA National Community College Championship and saw participants from Lee, BPCC, Boise State, University of Houston, and others. Lee College has welcomed over a dozen different programs from around the nation to Baytown each summer, helping foster competitive success and personal growth in hundreds of debaters.
Each camp is a three-day blend of applied theory and interactive exercises, culminating in a three-round mock tournament to test the skills of new and experienced debaters alike. We hope to provide opportunities for all skill levels of debate campers, including those who are discovering this activity for the first time. If you'd like to be a part of any of our upcoming camps, please contact us at [email protected].
